Additional Terms/Fees
Acceptance to Adult Martial Art Programs (18+): Admission to the adult program is contingent upon passing a federal background check which searches for felonies or a history of violence or misconduct.Additionally, any physical or mental issues that could be dangerous to oneself or other students must be disclosed to the instructor (i.e blood disorders or heart issues) before attending the introduction class.
Auto-renewal. For your convenience and the convenience of the admin staff, memberships are set to auto-renewal. Monthly memberships will renew the same day every month (i.e. membership begins on August 5th, it renews on September 5th). Class Punch Passes will renew after 10 classes or after 60 days, whichever comes first.
CC Processing Fee. While we are not a fan of additional fees, the cost of running a small business (including rent, utilities, accepting card payments, and more) continues to increase. We want to provide you with the best experience, but also need to cover our operating costs by charging a small 3% fee with cards. If you’d like to bypass the credit card fee, you are welcome to link directly to your bank account for direct debit, where no fee will be charged.
Testing Fee. There is a $25 testing fee when a member is promoted to the next belt. Evaluations are held quarterly and fee is paid only if the student passes. Black belt testing fees will be discussed with candidates before testing.
Uniform and Gear. A uniform is required and prices vary by sizes, however, it is not mandatory to try a classes. Sparring gear will be required for members at yellow belt
